Using Your Appliance

The appliance you have been given does several wonderful things all at the same time.

• Stabilizes your teeth and keeps them from shifting.
• Reduces and/or eliminates clenching and grinding while you sleep.
• Protects your natural teeth and restorations from future wear while you sleep.
• Allows your jaw joints to bite in a natural position while decreasing the forces to the joint.

Home Care Instructions

1. Wear your appliance(s) every night.
2. Clean the appliance(s) by brushing the inside and outside with a toothbrush and mouthwash, rinsing in cool water.
3. Do not rinse your appliance(s) in hot water or leave it in your car.
4. DO NOT SOAK THE APPLIANCE(s) OR USE DENTURE CLEANING MATERIALS OR TOOTHPASTE.
5. Keep it/them away from pets, especially dogs.
6. Bring your appliance(s) with you to every dental appointment, including cleaning appointments.
